Amazing Australian Beaches You Must Visit

iland co's stunning Summer collection  is inspired by the amazing beaches of Australia.

As the home country of our talented designer and owner, Jodie, the influence this awe-inspiring coastline has can be seen throughout her use in fabrics and styles.

Here are some of our favourites we believe everyone should try to visit.

MANDALAY BEACH

Mandalay Beach is part of the spectacular Rainbow Coast in Western Australia. Famous for it's long white beaches and jaw dropping views from the dune side boardwalk this beach has to be seen to be believed. If you visit during low tide you may even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the shipwrecked "Mandalay" which beached here in 1911.

Monkey Mia

If you love dolphins then Monkey Mia is the beach for you. For over 50 years a pod of wild Indo Pacific Bottlenose dolphins have visited the area, swimming up to the shallows of this Western Australian beach. Sometimes visiting up to three times a day, it is possible to be selected to hand feed these beautiful animals by the Park Rangers who care for and protect them. Monkey Mia is located in the beautiful Shark Bay World Heritage Area and has a wide variety of activities available if you are lucky enough to visit.

Wineglass Bay

We don't think it is possible to watch this clip and not want to visit the magical Wineglass Bay in Tasmania.  One of the top ten beaches in the World, this pristine coastline has pure white beaches set against deep blue ocean and pink granite mountains. There is so much to do here, from hiking, sampling divine local produce to staying in luxury eco lodges. We want to hop on the next flight here! How about you?

PALM BEACH

Perhaps one of Australias' most iconic beaches. If you are a Home and Away soap fan you will know this beach as the beautiful town of Summer Bay. Palm Beach is part of the exclusive Northern Beaches in Sydney, New South Wales. At the far end of the 2km stretch of sand you have the historic Barrenjoey Lighthouse and the beach sits in the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. If the golden curved beach doesn't appeal perhaps a visit to the local village full of designer stores is more your style. There is also some great viewing points in the area for whale watching during the cooler months.

Turn heads in the Palm Beach Kimono.

BYRON BAY

Byron Bay is one funky place. Not only does it boast some of the best surf breaks in the world and an amazing laid back vibe but it is also home to the most artists and artisans in Australia. Here you can check out fun, vibrant markets or the most easterly point of Australia's mainland. This area is one of the most stunning places along the North Coast of New South Wales, with the hinterland rainforest only a stones throw from the beautiful coastline. Did we also mention it is the home of a few celebs such as Chris Hemsworth?

Terrigal beach is located on the New South Wales, Central Coast. This beach has it all, with dazzling views, azure waters and a great atmosphere. Nearby there are dozens of great cafes and  independent stores full of nic-nacs of every description. Only an hour away from Sydney you feel a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. For dinner with a view, why not try a delicious meal at the Reef Restaurant.

Love the sleepy yet cosmopolitan beach vibe? Our Terrigal Beach Kimono captures the essence of this perfectly.

NOOSA BEACH

You will find Noosa Beach on the Sunshine Coast in balmy Queensland. If you want to learn how to surf then this beach is ideal. Patrolled by Aussie lifeguards all year round, this gorgeous stretch of beach has consistent gentle waves. Perfect for getting you standing up on that board in no time. Just a short walk from the beach is Hastings Street. This street is well known for its shopping, great food and fun bars.

Our designers personal fav. Make everyday feel like a beach day with the Noosa Beach Kimono
