The Maldives - Islands with Many Faces

marine lifeThe Maldives consists of about 1,200 islands and atolls and is located just north of the equator in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.

With their location being so close to the equator, you can expect warm and sunny weather while you’re there. Being in the Indian Ocean does increase the chance of cyclones, even though severe weather doesn’t usually affect the Maldives. May through September are the wet months and can cause a rough sea. If your plans involve being in the water, you may want to choose the dryer months to visit.

The Maldives offers a great opportunity for you to enjoy a number of islands on your holiday. Not only that, with these islands you can have a little bit of everything.
